Kung Fu Ronnie Gets His Brown Belt
Oscar Gets His Blue Belt

Joe D'Arce promoted Ron Mikuenski to Brown Belt and Oscar Arroyave to the rank of Blue Belt.  Ronnie is known for his dynamic Jiu Jitsu style and everyone who has ever trained with Oscar can attest to his almost super natural strength.  The promotion was well deserved!  Congratulations Guys!

BELT PROMOTIONS

We had the honor of promoting "Big" Pete Martocci, Brian Michelino, George Turner and Miguel Monroy to the rank of Blue Belt!  All four guys train very hard and compete on a regular basis.  This promotion was long overdue and well deserved, great job guys!

Black Belt Grappling & Jiu-Jitsu Seminar

The Black Belt seminar on Saturday August 14th at Vamos Jiu Jitsu was a huge success!  All the proceeds were given to help pay for Team Yamasaki Black Belt and MMA fighter Andre Margutti medical bills (Andre was recently diagnosed with cancer).  Thanks to all that came out to support a great cause and special thanks to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belts Rick Mcauley and Luis Pantoja who came down, shared some techniques and trained with us.

Team D'Arce did a great job bringing home medals at Grapplers Quest congratulations to the following medal winners.

Congratulations Submission Only Tournament Place Winners & Champion

David Hubbard Managed to win all three divisions he entered including the absolute division.  Dan Zaffuto won three matches and ended up facing fellow team member David in the finals, he did a great job on his first tournament.

Ryan Laflare Wins at Ring Of Combat

 

Ryan Laflare defended his welterweight Ring Of Combat Title at the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey defeating Mike Medrano by TKO due to strikes from the ground in the first round.  Congratulations champ!  Ryan is still undefeated bringing his professional Mixed Martial Arts record to 6-0.

George Turner wins Kickboxing Debut

George Turner wins his Muay Thai debut by unanimous decision at Lights Out Promotion in Deer Park, New York.  George trained hard and it definetly showed during his fight!

Gian Villante Injures Arm Fighting For ROC Title

Friday April 16th Gian Villante injured his arm while fighting for the Light Heavyweight title at Ring Of Combat in Atlantic City NJ.  We wish gian a speedy recovery and know he will be back stronger than ever.
